My Role
Product Designer
I’ve been a designer on the Innovation Team at Delta since Nov.2019 where I started as a contractor. I was converted to full-time Aug.2021, after I launched Delta FlyReady℠, to reopen international travel during COVID-19.

Asking "Why?"
I begin my projects with a simple question. Why are we pursuing this? Who will it benefit? I believe 1,000 “no’s” are worth a single “yes”.

Democratizing design and innovation across Delta is one of my primary responsibilities and workshops are central to that. My workshops help teams across Delta come about novel outputs and new ways of thinking about problems.

Developing the vision for products across the organization is core to my work at Delta and one of my favorite opportunities. The product’s vision brings focus to our work and I believe this to be the most important part of my process.

I take a lot of pride in making my designs as seamless to implement for the engineers I work with as possible. I start with an easy to follow design system following strict guidelines in regards to spacing, padding, visuals, etc.. This pays off with less UI audits and developer frustration. I consider the developers I work with an end-user of sorts. I take care to be as detailed and systematic as possible to marry design as close as I can to their process. Sometimes I even provide code trouble shooting to assist them.
